I have been raising my nieces for 15 years now. I can say that this has been the most challenging thing I have ever done but I’m so grateful to be doing it. 

It has given me so much experience in raising children who are now teenagers. I couldn’t be more proud of my girls. They know what it takes to raise children and they are grateful auntie is always there. 

Even though we have struggled with so much within the last few years they see auntie is going to do whatever she can to make sure they are well taken care of. If it going to food banks, or shopping at the thrift store my girls are always grateful with what I can provide for them. 

I love them so much and having resources like foster kinship all these years has been a true blessing. Even though at time I feel like I’m alone in my struggles. I’m really not. I have a village behind me. A village who can relate to the very issues I go through. 

I’m so grateful for the resources available to me and my girls and I can’t wait for the next journey. If it’s raising someone else’s kids I’m up for the challenge.
