Kinship Family Support Groups

We know that kinship families thrive best when offered a variety of different kinds of support. In service of that, we have support groups aimed at all members of the kinship family, in hopes of giving everyone a safe and non-judgmental space to process their feelings, give and receive support, and lean on one another as a community. Support groups are confidential and guided by a professional facilitator or kinship peer support professional.

Caregiver Support Groups

In-Person Groups

Kinship Caregiver Support Group
- When: Every 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 6:00 - 7:30pm
- Where: Canyon Ridge Church; 6200 W Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89130

Caregiver 2 Caregiver
- When: Every 2nd Thursday of the month, from 6:00 - 7:30pm
- Where: Whitney Ranch Recreation Center; 1575 Galleria Dr, Henderson, NV 89014

The Connected Caregiver
- When: Every 1st Thursday of the month, from 1:00 - 2:00pm

Closed Facebook Groups

Nevada Kinship Caregivers
- Foster Kinship operates a "closed" support group on Facebook for caregivers residing in the state of Nevada. The group is closed to protect members privacy.
- How to Join:
  1. Search "Nevada Kinship Caregivers" and request to join
  2. Answer the screening questions
  3. One of our administrators will review you request to join and admin you into the group!

"Thriving After" Post Permanency
- Our Post Permanency Program operates a "closed" support group on Facebook for people who have adopted or taken guardianship of children in Nevada through Kinship Care or traditional foster care. The group is closed to protect members privacy.
