Car Seat Safety

Did you know Foster Kinship has nationally certified child passenger safety technicians who offer car seat education and provide car seat checks and assistance with installs for kinship caregivers? We are passionate about ensuring your children are as safe as possible with you, and one easy thing to do is ensure that their car seat or booster seat is installed and used properly!

Classes are offered in two formats, in both English and Spanish. Read the information and instructions below to find out which option is the best fit for your needs! Foster Kinship car seat education classes are offered for kinship families in Nevada only.

In-Person Car Seat Safety Class

The first option for taking Foster Kinship's Car Seat Safety course is to attend a 3 hour In-Person class, lead by a Child Passenger Safety Technician. These classes are hosted twice a month and will include live instruction, hands-on demonstrations, as well as a Car Seat Check, during which a Child Passenger Safety Technician will ensure that all participants can able to install their car seats independently, and ensure that all children are riding in seats that are safe and appropriate for them.

Upon completing the course, participants will receive a Car Seat Safety Certificate.

Classes are offered in both English and Spanish
